SwipeTA is a chart-reading training app. It replays real historical US intraday price charts, freezes each one at a decision point, and asks the player to call whether price moved up or down over the next 15 minutes. It is a simulation: no real money, no broker, no orders.
Reading a chart under time pressure is a skill, and it is one you normally only practise by risking money on it. SwipeTA separates the two: the charts are real and the clock is real, but the outcome costs nothing except a number in a game.
Every call is recorded, so over time the app can show you the part that is hard to see from the inside — how fast you decide, which setups make you hesitate, and which market conditions you consistently read wrong.
These are design decisions, not omissions. The app holds no funds, connects to no broker or exchange, and executes nothing. Scores and the in-game bankroll are units of a game: they cannot be bought, transferred, or exchanged for anything of value.
We also make no claim that using SwipeTA will improve your real trading results. Results in the app come from historical data, and historical data says nothing about future markets or about how anyone would perform with money at risk. If you want to know exactly how the questions are built and judged before you trust any of it, that is written down in full on the methodology page.
SwipeTA is made and operated by SwipeTA Studio. It is designed and produced by GOLD, who came to it from independent game design.
That background is the reason this is a game and not a dashboard. The problem — practising a judgement call under time pressure, over and over, without money on the line — is one games already know how to solve: a tight loop, immediate feedback, a reason to come back tomorrow. Most tools aimed at traders start from the chart and add nothing that makes you want to do it again. SwipeTA starts from the loop.
Support and press enquiries both go to support@swipeta.net — a real inbox with a person behind it.
