Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 August 2026
SwipeTA is a training simulation. It holds no money, connects to no broker or exchange, and
executes no transactions. Everything below therefore concerns your account and your practice results —
there is no financial account, balance, or payment instrument in this app.
SwipeTA is made and operated by SwipeTA Studio, and in this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean
SwipeTA Studio. You can reach us at any time at
support@swipeta.net.
What we collect
- Account — you sign in with Google, with Apple, or with an email address, and that
gives us your email address and basic profile information, which identify your account. We
deliberately do not store your Google profile photo. With Sign in with Apple we ask for your
email address only, never your name — and if you choose Hide My Email, what we receive is
Apple's private relay address rather than your real one, which is fine: it is only ever used to
identify your account. You choose a display name, which appears on public leaderboards.
- Country or region (optional) — you may pick one in Settings, and its flag then appears
beside your name on public leaderboards. You choose it; we never detect it. The app does
not use your device's location or region settings for this, nothing is set for you, and you can
change it or clear it at any time.
- Gameplay — the questions you answer, your calls, whether they were right, how long you
took, and the resulting scores, ranks and progress. This is the product: it drives your history,
your review list and the leaderboards.
- Subscription status — whether you have an active PRO subscription. Payments are handled
entirely by the app store you installed from (Google Play or the App Store); we never receive
or store your payment details.
- Creator code (optional) — if you enter a creator's code, we record which creator
referred you, so that they can be credited. You choose whether to enter one, and there is nothing
to record if you don't.
- Diagnostics and usage — crash reports, and app events (screens opened, modes played,
purchases completed) tied to your account identifier, with device model and OS version.
- On your device only — language, board theme, reminder time and selected avatar. These
never leave the device.
Who we share it with
The service providers that make the app work, plus an advertising measurement partner and our
creator referral partner, all named below. We do not sell personal data.
- Supabase — database, authentication and hosting for your account and results.
- Cloudflare — the game server that deals questions and scores competitive rounds.
- Google Play, the App Store, and RevenueCat — subscription purchase and status.
- Apple — only if you use Sign in with Apple, and only to authenticate you. Apple tells us
your email address (or a private relay address, if you chose to hide it); we send Apple nothing
about how you play.
- Sentry — crash reporting.
- PostHog — product analytics, so we can see where the app confuses people. It receives
your account identifier, not your email or name.
- OpenAI — only when you change your display name, that name alone is sent for an
automated check against slurs and impersonation before it can appear on a public leaderboard.
- WinWinKit — the creator referral programme. If you enter a creator's code, it records
which creator referred you. It also receives your subscription events — a subscription starting,
renewing or ending — tied to your account identifier, so a creator can be credited when a referral
leads to a subscription; this happens whether or not you used a code. It never receives your
email, your name or your practice results.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — advertising measurement only. When the app is
first installed and each time it launches, that event is sent to Meta so we can tell which of our
ads bring people in and stop paying for the ones that do not. Meta also uses it to optimise our
ads, which counts as sharing for advertising. We do not send your email, your name or your practice
results, and we have turned off collection of your device advertising ID.
Your choices
- Delete everything. PROFILE › Settings › Delete account removes your
profile, results, rankings and purchase customer record. It cannot be undone. Without the app
installed, see Delete your account.
- Access or correct your data — email us and we will help.
- Notifications — the daily reminder is optional, off by default, and scheduled entirely
on your device.
Retention, children, and changes
We keep your data while your account exists; deleting the account deletes it. Three things
survive: Hall of Fame entries from seasons you finished in the top 100 (rank, score and the
display name you held then — a finished season is a historical record, no longer linked to any
account), aggregated non-identifying statistics, and diagnostic reports already sent to our
providers. See Delete your account.
SwipeTA is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where the change is
significant, say so in the app.
